INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MINOR HOCKEY REFEREE?
If so, the Goulds Referees Association would love to hear from you. The Goulds Referees Association (GRA) is a group of locally based hockey officials who love the game of hockey as much as anyone. We strive to provide the best service possible to Goulds Minor Hockey as well as other associations who play in the Goulds-Southern Shore area. In joining the GRA, you will become part of a tight-knit group where camaraderie and self-improvement are two of our biggest goals for our members.
Some of the great reasons for becoming a member of the GRA include:
* 100 % reimbursement of annual clinic fees
* A chance to improve your leadership skills and get involved in the community
* Opportunity to make some money while staying active and giving back to the Goulds Minor Hockey Association
* Tremendous development and advancement opportunities within Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador and Hockey Canada. GRA is a starting point for officials who wish to become involved with competitive levels of hockey (e.g. High School, Junior & Senior), the Officials Program of Excellence (OPOE), and provincial and regional tournaments hosted in our region. Past and present members of the GRA have officiated in elite events including the Under 17 World Hockey Challenge, Canada Winter Games, and the Herder Memorial Championship.
In addition to the benefits above, GRA takes a vested interest in the mentorship and development of our young officials. Whether it’s supervising and providing pointers on improving your game or helping you find a pair of referee pants, the Goulds Referees Association gives support to all our officials whatever way we can.
