Our fourth Metro Female Under 20 “Spotlight “ guest" is Stephanie Forward. Stephanie plays with the Goulds Pacers Under 20 Female team. Stacey has been playing hockey for fourteen years and she still loves to play the game. Steph is the third Goulds Pacers player to be featured on this page. Hi, I’m Stephanie Forward from the Goulds Pacers, 19 years old and I graduated from St.Kevin’s High. I love hockey and have been playing since I was 5 years old. I started out playing boys hockey then later switched to female. Other than my Goulds minor teams, I have played female high school hockey for 5 years, and played on the female AAA team in 2009. I am currently attending College of the North Atlantic, doing the Buisness Management Program.
Twenty Questions
1.) What is the favourite team that you have ever played on?
I can't compare any other team to my Gould's Pacers U-20 team 07/08. What a laugh!
2.) What is your favourite type of movie - horror, mystery, love story, comedy?
Anyone who knows me knows its definitely not a horror movie. I hate scary movies, so I'd have to
say my favorite would be any funny movie!
3.) If you could take an all expense paid vacation, where would you go, and why and with whom?
Florida, with my 8 girls!!! Disney would be a timeeee.
4.) What book, besides school books, are you reading?
I'm not a reader. You're lucky to get me to read a school book!
5.)What is the best tournament that you have ever played in?
Our all Newfoundland in Gros Morne. 07/08..
6.) Do you play another sport besides hockey?
Softball.
7.) What is your favourite meal?
I love any type of pasta but my favorite would be spagettttiii.
8.) If you could have dinner with any one person, who would it be??
My Mom - She's the best!
9.) What is your best or worst memory of high school?
Best memory of high school would be winning regionals in female hockey and going to Bonavista for 4A's, graduation and Europe trip with the school.
10.) What is one thing that you would like to tell all coaches?
It's a game, lets play it. Winning isn't everything!
11.) What is your biggest advice for new female hockey players?
Stick with it! It's a great experience. Tons of fun and you have memories & make friends that last a life time!.
12.) Are you superstitious?
I guess that you could say that .. I cross out crows all of the time!! Haha
13.) Who is one person that you would hate to stuck in an elevator with??
Haha well ... I'd have to say my teammate Christina Joy! Oh yeaaah hahaha.
14.) What was your most embarrassing moment?
Either falling down the stairs on the way to exams in junior high or trying to be cool jumping the boards at the Smallwood Arena and my pants getting caught and me getting stuck ... pretty embarrassing. Haha.
15.) Who do you look up to - as in a hero figure?
Most definitely April Rossiter .. I want to be just like her!
